Gender, Disability and Development Institute

On May 28th, 2018 Channel grantee partner MIUSA hosted the Gender, Disability and Development Institute in Sri Lanka. During the event, global leaders engaged in dialogue about including women and girls with disabilities in development and humanitarian projects around the world. The event brought together senior-level development and human rights professionals with women leaders with disabilities from China, India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. The Institute included a full day of workshops with a special evening reception event featuring MIUSA’s Brilliant & Resilient photo exhibition.
