Urgent Action Fund Asia & Pacific Launch

Channel was pleased to support the launch and set up of the Urgent Action Fund for Women’s Human Rights Asia and Pacific, the newest sister fund of the Urgent Action Fund Consortium, and the first fund in the region specifically dedicated to supporting women and non-binary (lesbian, trans) human rights defenders through Rapid Response grants for urgent threats or opportunities.

The launch took place Oct. 24th, 2017 from 6-8PM in the On the Golden Pond Room at the Taj Samudra Hotel in Colombo, Sri Lanka as part of the Prospera Building Resilience and Resistance Biennial Conference Oct. 23-26, 2017.
