Strengthening the Women's Funding Movement
Mission:
The Alliance for Feminist Movements (AFM) is a collaborative effort between governments, philanthropists, women’s and feminist funds, civil society and other allies to work in partnership to grow both financial and political support for diverse feminist movements. AFM seeks to catalyze, build, and sustain multistakeholder collaborations to ensure that feminist movements are abundantly resourced to drive transformative change towards a more just, inclusive world.
The AFM is the only initiative which has civil society at the table as equal participants.
Channel Grant:
2025: Channel made a grant to the Alliance for Feminist Movements (AFM) to support its Crisis Hub that influences the humanitarian sector and secures resources for feminist funds and organizations at the frontlines of crisis response. Some of the specific activities will include forming a Donor Toolkit and an Op-Ed series. AFM may also travel to engage donors around the assets in key humanitarian spaces.
