Promoting the Rights of Women with Disabilities
Mission:
Braiding Justice is an emerging multi-stakeholder initiative that aims to weave grantmaking, capacity building and learning to advance the collective rights and well-being of communities at the intersection of gender justice, disability justice and LGBTIQ justice in the Global South and East.
Through solidarity, innovation, skills building, and collaboration, Braiding Justice hopes to build power and support social change via cross-sectoral organizing.
Channel Grant:
2025: Channel made a grant to the Braiding Justice Initiative to support its formation and launch.
In its efforts to promote the dignity and bodily autonomy of marginalized communities, Braiding Justice’s grantmaking will support advocacy, organizing, litigation, arts and culture, and narrative change.
