In November 2025, <\/span>Urgent Action Fund Asia & Pacific (UAF A&P)<\/span><\/a> released a report, <\/span>\u201cRumah Kita: The Story of Our Becoming\u201d<\/span><\/a>, sharing the story of its origins as a fund.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The newest of Urgent Action Fund (UAF)\u2019s Sister Funds, UAF A&P supports women and non-binary activists in Asia and the Pacific. The report shares how UAF A&P drew from its sister funds\u2019 history of supporting resilient feminist movements for justice while also developing its own practices uniquely attuned to the Asian<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>region.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The creation of UAF\u2019s regional funds has been a significant step in the decentralization of decision-making power and<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>the creation of\u00a0more\u00a0equitable\u00a0partnerships in philanthropy.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The report describes how conversations starting in 2014 led to the <\/span>UAF A&P launch in 2017.<\/span><\/a> The report aims to honor the effort, preserve UAF A&P’s history, and reflect on the process of creating the new fund. Guiding questions in the report offer opportunities for reflection amongst those working in philanthropy, collaborative funds, and other de-colonial models of funding.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n
