target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Peace Direct<\/span><\/a> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">published a report, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/icanpeacework.org\/2022\/04\/race-power-and-peacebuilding\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201cRace, Power, and Peacebuilding\u201d<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> in collaboration with Channel grantee partner the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.channelfoundation.org\/grants\/ican\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">International Civil Society Action Network (ICAN)<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0as well as the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gppac.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict (GPPAC)<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/unoy.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">United Network of Young Peacebuilders (UNOY)<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. <\/span><!--more--><span data-contrast=\"auto\">This report builds on the findings of the 2020 report <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.peacedirect.org\/us\/publications\/timetodecoloniseaid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201cTime to Decolonize Aid,\u201d<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> (which Channel partner <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.channelfoundation.org\/grants\/wcaps\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Women of Color Advancing Peace and Security (WCAPS)<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> contributed to) and which established the extent of racism across the humanitarian, development and peacebuilding sectors. \u00a0 <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cRace, Power, and Peacebuilding\u201d draws on insights from a 2021 global consultation of over 160 people from 70 countries to explore and understand how racism manifests itself across the sector. \u00a0By analyzing current peacebuilding approaches through the perspective of decolonization, the report aims to encourage the peacebuilding sector to embrace the decolonizing agenda and address unequal global-local power dynamics.
