{"id":5811,"date":"2021-12-22T15:58:04","date_gmt":"2021-12-22T15:58:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.channelfoundation.org\/?p=5811"},"modified":"2025-05-01T16:30:02","modified_gmt":"2025-05-01T23:30:02","slug":"channel-grantees-collaborate-on-disability-inclusion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.trockwebdesign.com\/channel\/2021\/12\/22\/channel-grantees-collaborate-on-disability-inclusion\/","title":{"rendered":"Channel Grantees Collaborate on Disability Inclusion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Recognizing a need to be more inclusive of women with disabilities, Channel partner <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.channelfoundation.org\/grants\/world-pulse\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">World Pulse<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> invited fellow grantees Mobility International USA <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.channelfoundation.org\/grants\/miusa\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">(MIUSA)<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> and Women Enabled International <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.channelfoundation.org\/grants\/wei\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">(WEI)<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> to engage with them through an <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/world-pulse\/how-were-building-an-online-culture-of-collective-care-a736e68e9c0c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">initiative<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> aimed at inclusive excellence starting in 2020.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">As their <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.miusa.org\/news\/2021\/worldpulsepartnership\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">contribution<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> to this partnership, MIUSA designed and delivered a two-day training for World Pulse staff in July 2020 which resulted in a multi-year disability action plan. Over the next few months, MIUSA helped World Pulse to put their new strategies, ideas and commitments into action and even provided a refresher training in May 2021.
